Your recent editorial, “The homelessness promised land” (June 30) included an extensive list of states where Golden State public servants are not allowed to travel to on the taxpayer’s dime, which are:

Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and West Virginia. What is amazing to me is that it was Gov. Newsom who mandated this extensive list but he is the one traveling to Idaho this Fourth of July to campaign for Joe Biden. Previously he campaigned in other states against the GOP like Arkansas, Florida, and Texas, promoting freedom in his own state.

Why does Governor Newsom continue to violate his own mandates?
