“Climate gobbledygook”

Carmel Pine Cone, January 31, 2025

In response to Monterey County supervisors’ “climate action simulator,” an online survey of how Monterey County should “meet its emissions reduction standards for the next five years,” I would simply ask the supervisors where’s the science? And where are your priorities?

There is no empirical evidence supporting direct anthropogenic global warming (AGW) theory. Man’s CO2 emissions — are less than 4 percent. Mother Earth’s contribution is more than 96 percent. In total, CO2 emissions represent just .04 percent by atmospheric density. Of man’s 4 percent emissions, the United States contributes roughly 20 percent, or a mere .00032 percent of CO2 by atmospheric density.

While our supervisors are scheming to push CO2 emission-reduction standards, local citizens have had to deal with a toxic plume floating over their communities from a lithium battery “clean energy” fire. So much for emission-reduction standards. So much for clean air. So much for real county priorities.

And who can forget our county’s previous, meaningless, non-science, unconstitutional Covid mandates?

With no empirical evidence of direct, human-caused climate change, Monterey County supervisors need to focus on real issues affecting our community, starting with clean Monterey County air, abundant clean water, and smart free-abatement programs for 2025.

The county’s climate action simulator gobbledygook and its approved “green energy“ lithium battery facility, now a hazardous waste disaster, speak volumes of the supervisors’ misplaced priorities.
