Instead of pretending to govern the country, Gavin Newsom should try to govern the state of California. In his attempt to advance his political career, he has neglected key issues affecting Californians. Most notably, taxes (CA has the highest income tax rate in the country), housing prices (and rent), crime and homelessness (in San Francisco and Los Angeles in particular), cost of living (inflation), major companies who have already left the state (including Schwab, Oracle, Hewlett Packard, Tesla), and the exodus of almost 500,000 people due to some or all of the above. Again, before his attempt to lead the country, Gavin Newsom should pay attention to leading the state of California.
