“First Amendment rights,” Monterey Herald – Jan. 6, 2023
We need to do something about the federal government violating our First Amendment rights. The Feds have done this before, during the civil rights movement, but not to this extent. The evidence now shows that the FBI gave top secret security to employees of Twitter. They even developed a secret online channel where Twitter staff and FBI agents could secretly decide whose political speech to censor or ban. Matt Taibbi, a journalist for Rolling Stone magazine who is investigating the Twitter Files, said that the FBI acted as a “subsidiary” of Twitter.
This is more than just collusion. Taibbi asserted that the relationship between the FBI and Twitter resembled a form of “master-canine” situation where the FBI issued what appeared as requests to ban specific people, more of a direct order than a friendly suggestion.
The FBI and other government agencies are supposed to be working for the American people but are instead colluding with a major political party—the Democrats. As even Elon Musk tweeted, “If this isn’t a violation of the Constitution’s First Amendment, what is?”
