“Jan. 6 should not be equated with Sept. 11”, Monterey Herald—January 8, 2022
For the Biden administration to compare the Jan. 6 insurrection to Pearl Harbor, where 2,400 people were killed (and started the beginning of World War II for the United States of America where roughly half a million American lives were taken) and 9/11 where almost three thousand people died, is shocking. Clearly the events of Jan. 6, 2021, cannot be condoned and are a shameful stain on American history. However, it is unworthy to equalize the Jan. 6 assault on the Capitol in the same historical manner as Pearl Harbor and 9/11.
