Science is not a one-way street

Science is not a one-way street– Monterey Herald – Feb. 21, 2021

The article “Superspreaders behind COVID-19 conspiracies” took the position that only crazy people and conspiracy nuts blame China for the origins of COVID-19. And yet, there are many doctors in the field of virology who believe that the genomic sequence of SARS-CoV-2 was manmade in the Wuhan level 4 laboratory, not far from the first confirmed case.

So, why was the respected Chinese virologist Dr. Li-Meng Yan and other medical professionals not named in the article? She was in China near the beginning of the pandemic and was assigned the job of investigating and researching the deadly coronavirus.

Yan was also the same virologist who sounded the alarm over COVID-19’s ability to be transmitted by human-to-human contact back in December of 2019. When she pointed out that fact, she was reprimanded.

Other doctors may disagree with Dr. Li-Meng Yan’s professional conclusions, especially doctors from China, but why should she and other medical professionals be ignored, censored or suppressed? Science is not a one-way street. To uncover truths, many differing opinions are needed to make more informed decisions.
